LEGAL · PLATFORM TERMS

Use the platform within the authority you actually hold.

Effective August 25, 2026. These public terms govern VERITAN access unless a signed agreement provides more specific terms.

1. Scope
These terms govern public website, registry, account, console, API, MCP, webhook, and related VERITAN services unless a signed agreement states otherwise. A signed MSA, order form, pilot agreement, certification agreement, or rate card controls over conflicting public terms.
2. Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate account information and may act only for organizations and projects you are authorized to represent. Organization owners and administrators are responsible for membership, role, credential, and billing administration.
3. Credentials
API keys, MCP credentials, webhook secrets, and service-account credentials are confidential. They may not be shared outside the authorized organization or resold. VERITAN may rotate, revoke, throttle, or suspend credentials for compromise, abuse, nonpayment, sanctions risk, legal obligation, or security protection.
4. Authorized use
Do not bypass rate limits, defeat security controls, impersonate another party, submit unlawful content, scrape restricted data, interfere with service operation, or use provenance results outside their stated scope and limitations.
5. Metering and charges
Customer-facing charges are determined by the applicable VERITAN price book, signed rate card, or order form. Usage events are distinct from invoices; payment status is distinct from entitlement authority. Retries must not create duplicate billable events when an idempotency mechanism is provided and correctly used.
6. Registry and current state
Registry records may be corrected, superseded, suspended, expired, or revoked. Current registry state controls over stale copies. Customers are responsible for re-checking current status when relying on a credential.
7. Third-party evidence
VERITAN may reference laboratory reports, trade documents, responsible-sourcing records, sanctions declarations, transport documents, and other third-party evidence. Referencing evidence does not make VERITAN the issuer of that evidence or guarantee facts outside the scope actually reviewed.
8. Availability and changes
Services, interfaces, limits, and features may change. Material commercial changes apply prospectively under the applicable plan version, order form, or renewal. Existing signed commitments are not retroactively rewritten by a new public price book.
9. Suspension and termination
VERITAN may suspend access for material breach, security risk, unlawful use, sanctions or export-control risk, fraud, nonpayment, or protection of customers and infrastructure. Termination does not erase audit or evidence records that must be retained for legal, security, accounting, or chain-of-custody purposes.
10. No appraisal or investment advice
Unless a specific signed service states otherwise, VERITAN and PV services do not provide an appraisal, market-value guarantee, investment recommendation, insurance opinion, or legal title guarantee.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, indirect, special, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages are excluded. Any negotiated enterprise liability regime is governed by the signed enterprise agreement. Certification-specific liability is governed by the Certification Services Terms.
12. Governing documents
Privacy, certification, developer, certification-mark, enterprise, security, and SLA terms are incorporated when applicable to the service used.
